Now turn down the temperature on your wax heater so that it is somewhere between max. and medium and let the wax stand for another 5-10 minutes.
Stir the wax occasionally as it melts. When applying the wax, the final result is dependent on the wax having the correct temperature. You can check the temperature of the wax by gently applying a small amount to the back of your hand.
Use the supplied applicator sticks to apply the wax. We recommend applying the wax in direction of the hair growth. Wait approx. 30 seconds or until the wax is completely hardened.
Once the wax has hardened, pull off the wax in one quick motion. Hold skin taut with one hand, and remove the wax in the opposite direction of hair growth.
Post-treatment, it is a good idea to apply a good moisturiser or soothing cream, such as Aloe Vera Gel, to your skin.
If you are a first-time user of Pearlwax™, it is normal for your skin to become irritated as your hair follicles are still very deep. Here, an Aloe Vera Gel can help.
When the weather is finally hot enough for skirts, shorts, and swimsuits, it’s much better to wax than to shave.
The wax treatments you get in salons are extremely expensive, but thankfully you can give yourself a wax with Pearlwax™.
Not sure what to do? Here are the answers to some of the frequently asked questions.
1) How long should my hairs be?
Your hair should be at least 3-5 mm long in order to achieve the best possible result with
2) Do I need to do anything before I wax?
There’s nothing you need to do, but it’s a good idea to exfoliate the area you want with a body scrub (or similar) – ideally the day before, but on the day also works. Keep in mind that if you exfoliate right before waxing, you risk the oil from your scrub settling around the hairs, making it difficult for the wax to grip onto them.
3) Do I need to do anything after I wax?
Remove any residue from your skin using hot water or oil. Post-treatment, it is recommended that you apply a non-perfumed oil or a soothing cream, such as Aloe Vera Gel, to your skin. If you are a first-time user of Pearlwax™, it’s normal for your skin to become irritated, as your follicles are still very deep. An Aloe Vera cream might come in handy.
4) When should I wax?
Immediately after the wax, your skin is more sensitive that unusual, and as such, you should avoid direct sun and tanning booths after a treatment – ideally for up to 24 hours. With that in mind, we recommend waxing at a time when it’s possible for you to avoid the sun afterwards.
Furthermore, we recommend taking your time. The more time you give yourself, the better your experience, as you won’t have to rush through it unnecessarily.
5) How do I do it?
Apply the wax in an even level in the direction of hair growth (with the grain).Once this is done, pull the skin around the wax-covered area taut and pull off the wax in one quick, gliding motion. When pulling off the wax, make sure to pull against the direction of hair growth (against the grain).
6) How often should I wax?
Wax treatments with Pearlwax™ removes your hairs by the root, so it typically takes the hair 4-6 weeks to grow back out to its full length after a wax.
The monthly trip to the salon can be time-consuming and extremely expensive. With Pearlwax™ you can sort out your waxing needs right at home!
Here’s everything you need to know to start waxing your bikini line at home:
Before the wax:
Let your hairs grow to at least 3-5 mm. It’s a good idea to exfoliate the skin the day before the treatment.
Likewise, it’s a good idea to have practiced using the product on your legs or arms before trying to wax the bikini line.
During the wax:
Apply the wax with the grain. Keep the skin around the wax-covered area taut, and pull off the wax in one quick, smooth motion against the grain. Start by applying the wax on one side, and don’t apply wax to multiple areas at the same time.
During the wax:
Remove any oil remnants and apply either oil or
Aloe Vera gel
to soothe your skin. Put on comfortable, loose-fitting clothes that won’t rub against the waxed skin.
Get amazing, feminine arms. This treatment is the dot on the final ‘i’ when preparing for a party, important night out, or your wedding, where a well-polished look is vital in ensuring your comfort.
Armpits
The hairs on your upper lip and in your armpits grow in two different directions, so the waxing needs to be split into two phases. It is recommended that you apply wax going upwards on the upper half of the armpit and pull downwards against the grain—the opposite goes for the lower half.
Apply the wax and leave it to harden for 30-60 seconds. Keep the skin around the wax-covered area taut, and pull off the wax in one quick, smooth motion. You can apply a layer of soothing Aloe Vera cream afterwards.
NB! Your hairs should be at least 5 mm long to achieve the best results possible.
This treatment is intended for those who need to wax their upper lip, chin, cheek, sideburns, or neck.
Do you struggle with unwanted hair growth, and does it bother you so much that you notice it whenever you look in the mirror? Many women struggle with unwanted hair growth, but thankfully there is something you can do about it.
Let Pearlwax™ help you remove the hair.
It’s a good idea to have practiced using the product on your legs or arms before trying to wax the face.
Apply the wax with the grain. Leave it to harden for 30-60 seconds. Keep the skin around the wax-covered area taut, and pull off the wax in one uniform motion against the grain. You can apply a layer of soothing Aloe Vera cream afterwards.
When waxing the eyebrows, you can clean up the final look using tweezers. This helps create the perfect brows and ensure that both brows are the same.
Avoid annoying hair growth on your back or chest. The treatment is perfect leading up to a holiday or as part of your day-to-day care routine. If you wax before a holiday, make sure to wax at a time when you can stay out of the sun for up to 24 hours afterwards.
The back and chest are waxed in the same way as the legs (refer to: waxing legs).
NB! Your hairs should be at least 5 mm long to achieve the best results possible.
Intimate waxing is popular with men and women alike.
Intimate waxing hurts less than you would expect, as the product and the technique used are different from other wax treatments. The hair is ripped out in a different way using strips, and this method ensures that the hairs don’t break and that the skin isn’t damaged.
This method helps prevent things like bruising. This treatment is fit for men/women who are attentive to their appearance and wellbeing.
This treatment is incredibly popular, as it helps prevent ingrown hairs and daily shaving.
You also save a lot of time, as you don’t have to shave every day or every other day.
These days, men and women of all ages prefer for this area to be bare or mostly so. This treatment is fit for men/women of all ages. Pearlwax™ minimises the growth and thickness of hair in the intimate area. NB! Your hairs should be at least 5 mm long to achieve the best results possible. When it comes to intimate waxing, good hygiene is a must.
The most important criterion for a successful wax treatment is reaching the correct temperature. The correct operating temperature is around 50-55 °C. This temperature is reached by heating the wax pearls to your wax heater’s maximum temperature and then turning down the temperature so that it is approx. midway between max. and medium. Let the wax stand at this temperature for 5-10 minutes before applying it. If the wax is not warm enough, it will lie on top of the hairs, instead of taking hold around the hairs. If you find that the wax does not get all the hairs, then in 9 out of 10 cases it is because the wax was not warm enough. However, always make sure that the wax is not so hot that you burn yourself!
Cleaning
It is not necessary to clean the wax heater after each use. If you have excess wax, this can easily be heated the next time you use Pearlwax™, and therefore you can simply leave the excess wax in the heater and heat it up again the next time you need it. However, we recommend that you clean the wax heater after 2-3 uses. This can be done with warm water, mild alcohol and a soft brush. To avoid bacteria, we also recommend that you keep a lid on the wax heater during heating, cooling and storage.
About the product
Pearlwax™ has been specially developed so that the wax, unlike soft wax, does not stick to the skin, but only to the hair. This results in a smoother and more long-lasting result, and you also spare your skin a lot of damage and irritation. In addition, Pearlwax™ removes your hair at the root, ensuring a longer hair-free period.
Pearlwax™ can be used by all skin types, as the wax is gentle on the skin. This means that with Pearlwax you prevent the appearance of the small red bumps, rashes, irritation and ingrown hairs that can be expected with regular shaving.
The more times you wax, the fewer hairs grow back, and the hairs become even finer. With Pearlwax™ you can enjoy your soft, smooth skin for up to four weeks, whereas after shaving you begin to notice hair stubble after just a few days.
Pearlwax is a relatively new phenomenon that has become popular worldwide thanks to social media spreading the message, and the new hair removal tool is a big hit for good reason – try it for yourself!
